Ayşe Tezel, born September 19, 1980, in London, England, is a New Zealand actress, voice-over artist, and content creator of Turkish heritage. Half Turkish and half New Zealander, she began performing at age three with ballet and theatre by eight. Her debut was in 2002 on Shortland Street as Melody Goodall, returning in 2021 as Rebecca Hula. Notable roles include Canthara in Spartacus: War of the Damned (2013), where she appeared nude, Maria in Sione's 2: Unfinished Business (2012), Annie in Meet Me in Miami (2005), and Casey Gordon in Gene-X (2006). Relocating to Sydney in 2004, she starred in Court of Lonely Royals (2007) and studied Method Acting in London for projects like London Thing. Her voice work includes Path of Exile (The Scion), Air New Zealand, and Barclays ads.
