Juliet Anderson, born Judith Carr on July 23, 1938, in Burbank, California, was an iconic figure in the Golden Age of Porn, best known as 'Aunt Peg,' the original cougar. Daughter of jazz trumpeter Fred Carr and an aspiring actress, she battled Crohn's disease early on. After studying art and English at California State University, Long Beach, she taught English abroad in Japan, Mexico, Greece, and Finland, and worked in radio. At age 39, she entered adult films with Alex de Renzy's 'Pretty Peaches' (1978), starring in over 70 titles including the 'Aunt Peg' series, 'Talk Dirty to Me' (1980), 'Taboo' (1980), and 'Insatiable II' (1984). She directed and produced, notably mentoring Nina Hartley in 'Educating Nina' (1984). After industry setbacks, she ran a bed-and-breakfast and offered sensual massages. Honored with multiple Hall of Fame inductions, she passed away from a heart attack on January 11, 2010, in Berkeley at age 71.
