Mae Margaret Whitman (born June 9, 1988, in Los Angeles, California) is an American actress, voice actress, and singer. She started her career young, voicing a Tyson Chicken commercial at age two and debuting in film at five in 'When a Man Loves a Woman' (1994). Early films include 'Independence Day' (1996), 'One Fine Day' (1996), and 'Hope Floats' (1998). Television breakthroughs came with Ann Veal in 'Arrested Development' (2004–2013), Amber Holt in 'Parenthood' (2010–2015), and Annie Marks in 'Good Girls' (2018–2021). She starred in 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World' (2010), 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' (2012), and 'The DUFF' (2015). Renowned for voice work, she voiced Katara in 'Avatar: The Last Airbender,' Tinker Bell in Disney films, and Amity Blight in 'The Owl House.'
