Karen Lancaume (born Karine Bach; 19 January 1973 – 28 January 2005) was a French pornographic film actress who starred in over 83 adult films from 1996 to 2000. Born in the suburbs of Lyon to a wealthy family with a German father and Moroccan mother, she studied communications and danced in nightclubs. In the mid-1990s, she married DJ Franck Ceronne; mounting debts led the couple into pornography in 1996. Lancaume debuted with unsimulated sex in L’Indécente aux enfers (1997). After their 1997 divorce, she pursued a solo career across Europe and the United States, working with prestigious studios like Elegant Angel, Wicked Pictures, and directors such as Marc Dorcel and Andrew Blake. Nominated for a 2000 Hot d’Or award, she voiced disillusionment: 'I was covered in spunk, wet, freezing to death and no one even offered me a towel.' In 2000, she played Nadine in the controversial mainstream film Baise-moi, featuring real sex scenes. Retiring in 2002, she tragically died by suicide in Paris at age 32 from a temazepam and alcohol overdose.
