Raymond Dragon, professionally known as Ray Dragon, was born on June 20, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan, United States. A multifaceted talent, he holds degrees from Michigan State University in computer engineering and performing arts. His early career included gymnastics, stage acting in Metropolitan Opera's Benvenuto Cellini, national tour of Camelot, and the film Poison, followed by go-go dancing in New York gay clubs.
Scouted by Colt Studios' Jim French, he became a top model and performer, gracing covers of Genre magazine and starring in Minute Man 11 (1996). After a break to pursue fashion design—crafting costumes for Broadway hits like Rent, Chicago, Fosse, and dance troupes such as Alvin Ailey and Martha Graham—he returned to porn in 2001. Founding his production company, Dragon directed, produced, and edited acclaimed works like Whiplash (2004, GayVN nominee), Dickflix (2008), and Big Blue in the Boiler Room (2005).
Performances include Lifeguard! and Hookups. At 5'8" and 190 lbs, he entered the GayVN Hall of Fame in 2007 and is a published photographer.
