Riccardo Schicchi (1952-2012) was a pioneering Italian figure in the adult entertainment industry, renowned as an actor, director, producer, photographer, and talent scout. Born in Sicily, he started in radio and photography, working for Epoca magazine. In 1979, he entered porn with 'Cicciolina Amore Mio,' starring Ilona Staller, whom he later partnered with to found Diva Futura in 1983—the first Italian agency for porn stars, coining the term 'porn star.'
He produced hits like 'Telefono Rosso' and 'The Rise of the Roman Empress,' discovered Rocco Siffredi, mentoring him as a father figure. Schicchi had children Riccardino with Staller and Mercedes with Eva Henger. Politically active, he joined the Radical Party and co-founded the Party of Love with Moana Pozzi in 1990.
Faced legal troubles, including a 2006 prison sentence for immigration violations. He died at 60 from diabetes complications.
