Yasmeena Ali, née Khadija Patman, was born on December 1, 1993, in Kabul, Afghanistan, under Taliban rule. Her family fled to the United Kingdom in 2001 during the U. S. invasion when she was seven, settling in London.

Raised in a conservative Muslim family, she rejected religion early, earning a social work degree. Disowned at 19 for dating a Jewish boy, she married adult film director David Cohen, briefly converting to Judaism before identifying as an atheist. Moving to Slovakia in 2017, she debuted in pornography that year, becoming known as Afghanistan's first prominent porn star and a kinky model. Her career includes erotic and mainstream appearances.

In 2020, her father and cousin were arrested for plotting her murder over her profession and beliefs. A vocal women's rights activist, she condemns the Taliban and advocates globally from Central Europe.
