Angel Kelly, born Pamela Moore on December 7, 1962, in Lansing, Michigan, is a pioneering African-American pornographic actress and a golden age legend. At 5'7" tall, also known as Sugar Brown, she entered the industry at 19 via peep shows and topless dancing in Michigan. Magazine shoots in Cheri and Players led to her 1985 film debut.
Peaking from 1986-1988, she starred in over 100 films, including 53 in 1987, and signed the first exclusive contract for a Black female star with Fantasy Home Video. Alongside Jeannie Pepper and Heather Hunter, she broke barriers as one of the first African-American women in mainstream porn. Her career tapered by 1991.
Later, she featured in Tupac Shakur's 1996 video 'How Do U Want It.' Honored in the AVN Hall of Fame (2008) and XRCO Hall of Fame (2009), Kelly's impact endures.
