Michele Evette Watley, known as Midori, was born on July 19, 1968, in Durham, North Carolina, USA. She is an African-American actress, singer, dancer, and model who entered the adult film industry in 1995, motivated by a desire to increase representation of women of color. Notable works include starring in the Polish adult film Big Sister (2001) and appearing in interracial scenes. She won the AVN Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2001 for American Booty, becoming the first African-American woman to receive an AVN award; she was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2009 and the Urban X Hall of Fame in 2023.
