Catherine Ringer, born October 18, 1957, in Suresnes, France, is a French singer-songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, dancer, choreographer, actress, and former pornographic performer. She began her adult film career in 1976 under aliases like Betty Davis, Yvette Lemercier, Claudia Mutti, and Lolita Da Nova, appearing in about 17 films until 1985, including 'Body Love' (1977), 'Corps brulants' (1976), 'Mélodie pour Manuella' (1981), and 'Porno Race' (1985). Transitioning to music, she co-founded the pop-rock band Les Rita Mitsouko in 1979 with Fred Chichin, serving as lead vocalist.
The duo gained fame with eclectic hits like 'Marcia Baila.' After Chichin's 2007 death, Ringer pursued solo albums such as 'Ring n' Roll' (2011) and tango collaborations. Daughter of artist Sam Ringer, she continues performing with Plaza Francia Orchestra and contributing to film soundtracks.
