Steve Holmes, born March 23, 1961, in Sibiu, Romania, to Transylvanian Saxon parents, sought political asylum in Germany in 1968. He dropped out of school, worked in fashion, then entered the tech industry as a sales representative in 1986. In 1996, with his wife Sylvia's permission, he debuted in an amateur porn scene in Dortmund, Germany, adopting the stage name "Steve Holmes" due to his resemblance to John Holmes.
Active since 1996, he specializes in mature content, performing over 280 scenes in 2003 alone.
