Joshua Broome, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, grew up with his divorced mother and younger brother. At 15, he started modeling, later moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting. In 2006, at age 21, he entered the pornography industry under the stage name Rocco Reed.
Over seven years, he performed in over 1,000 adult films, including both straight and gay content, and directed for Penthouse Video starting in 2011. He earned more than $1. 1 million, received multiple AVN and XBIZ nominations, and won Best Male Performer of the Year in 2012.
Plagued by depression and emptiness, Broome retired in 2013, attempted suicide, and relocated to South Carolina as a fitness trainer. In 2015, he experienced a profound Christian conversion. He studied at Liberty University, earning a BA in Christian Ministry in 2022.
Today, he serves as a pastor at Good News Baptist Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Married to Hope since 2016, they have four children. Broome shares his testimony through his book '7 Lies That Will Ruin Your Life' and the 'Counterfeit Culture' podcast.
