Transitioning to erotic films in the 1970s under Joe d'Amato, including Black Emanuelle (1975) and Emanuelle Around the World (1977), she entered hardcore pornography in 1985 at age 40 to fund her son's drug treatment, starring in 24 films mainly in Italy and West Germany for an annual salary of 180,000 German marks.
