Céline Tran, born in 1978 or 1979, is a French actress and writer of French-Vietnamese heritage, with a Vietnamese father and French maternal family. Of Vietnamese descent, she studied political science and literature at Grenoble Institute but dropped out after working as a go-go dancer. Spotted by a Penthouse photographer, she entered the adult film industry in 2001 under the stage name Katsuni (later Katsumi, changed due to legal issues). Starting in France, she expanded to the US in 2003, signing an exclusive contract with Digital Playground in 2006. Notable works include films like Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge (2008) and directing In Bed with Katsuni (2012). She won three AVN Awards for Female Foreign Performer of the Year (2005, 2006, 2007), among others. Retiring in 2013, she moved to France, appearing in mainstream films such as Porn in the Hood (2012) and Jailbreak (2017), where she played the villainess after martial arts training. She wrote the autobiography Ne dis pas que tu aimes ça (2018), scripted comics like DoggyBags, and worked as a DJ, blogger, and stunt double for The Witcher: Blood Origin (2022).
