Karenjit Kaur Vohra, known as Sunny Leone, was born on May 13, 1981, in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, to Sikh Indian Punjabi parents. Raised in a tomboyish environment, she moved to the US and worked various jobs before entering the adult film industry in 2001. Named Penthouse Pet of the Month (March 2001) and Pet of the Year (2003), she became a top star with Vivid Entertainment, winning AVN awards and induction into the Hall of Fame (2018). She retired from porn in 2013 after launching her production company.
Transitioning to mainstream, she hosted MTV shows, appeared on Bigg Boss (2011), and debuted in Bollywood with Jism 2 (2012), starring in films like Ragini MMS 2 (2014) and across South Indian cinema. Holding Canadian and US citizenship, she resides in India as an OCI. Married to Daniel Weber since 2011, they have three children.
