Marica Hase, born Marika Hase (長谷真理香) on September 26, 1981, in Tokyo, Japan, is a pioneering Japanese pornographic actress, AV idol, gravure model, and Penthouse Pet. At 5'2" (157 cm), she entered the entertainment industry as a gravure idol in 2007, releasing DVDs and her nude photobook 'FANTASME' in 2008. She debuted in AV in December 2009 with SOD Create's 'Actual Gravure Idol x AV Debut,' appearing in over 200 Japanese titles. In 2012, she relocated to the United States, becoming the first native Japanese Penthouse Pet of the Month in January 2013. Renowned for her eager, enthusiastic performances that subvert shy Japanese AV stereotypes, she has starred in hundreds of Western films across genres. In 2018, diagnosed with breast cancer at 36, she underwent a double mastectomy with reconstruction, raising over $50,000 via GoFundMe from fans.
