Marilyn Ann Taylor (née Briggs; April 22, 1952 – April 12, 2009) was an American pornographic actress, exotic dancer, model, actress, singer, and vice-presidential candidate. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, U. S.
, she grew up in Westport, Connecticut, in a middle-class household. Chambers began her career as a model, notably as the Ivory Snow girl, before entering adult films. Her breakthrough was the 1972 hardcore film Behind the Green Door, directed by the Mitchell Brothers, which made her a star during the porno chic era.
She appeared in notable works including Resurrection of Eve (1973), Insatiable (1980), and its sequel Insatiable II (1984). Chambers transitioned to mainstream projects, starring in David Cronenberg's Rabid (1977) and various theater productions. She also pursued singing, releasing the disco single "Benihana" (1976), and ran for vice president in 2004 and 2008 on libertarian tickets.
Personally, she was married three times, had one child, and overcame substance abuse. She died of a cerebral hemorrhage at age 56.
