Misty Dawn, born Laurie Rose on May 15, 1963, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, U.S., is a retired American pornographic actress. She debuted in the adult film industry in 1982 at age 19, performing until about 1991. At 5 ft 3 in (160 cm), she was renowned for anal scenes with studios like VCA Pictures, Caballero Home Video, VCX, and Gourmet Video Collection.
She met legendary porn star John Holmes on the set of *Marathon* (1982) in San Francisco. They married in 1987; Holmes became stepfather to her young son until his AIDS-related death in 1988. In the mid-1980s, they partnered with producer Bill Amerson at Penguin Productions, residing in his Sherman Oaks mansion.
Dawn later co-authored and edited Holmes' autobiography, *Porn King: The Autobiography of John C. Holmes* (1998, revised 2012). She returned briefly as a fluffer in *The World's Biggest Gang Bang III – The Houston 620* (1999) and appeared in *Voyer Vision* (2003).
