Domenica Anita Niehoff (1945–2009) was a renowned German prostitute, dominatrix, and activist. Born in Cologne, she was raised by her mother Anna, a fortune-teller involved in petty crimes. After her mother's arrest, Domenica and her brother lived in a Catholic orphanage until she was 14, then trained as a clerk. At 17, she married a brothel owner who died by suicide in 1972. That year, she began sex work in Hamburg's St. Pauli district, Herbertstraße, opening a dominatrix studio and earning the title 'Queen of the Reeperbahn.' Though primarily known for prostitution and activism rather than films, she is listed in adult databases. From the 1970s, she advocated on TV for prostitution's legalization. Retiring in the 1990s, she ran a bar, co-founded Ragazza e.V. for young sex workers, and authored books like 'Domenicas Kopfkissenbuch' (1989). She died in Hamburg from lung disease and diabetes, aged 63. A street bears her name since 2016.
