Daniel Arthur Mead, born on 20 April 1960 in London, United Kingdom, is a British retired porn star known professionally as Long Dong Silver. His stage name alludes to the character Long John Silver from Treasure Island. Famed for an allegedly 18-inch penis, which was actually a prosthetic foam latex sleeve glued over his actual nine or ten inches—created by makeup artist Christopher Tucker after initial multi-exposure techniques in photography—Mead entered the industry in the late 1970s.
