Josef "Sepp" Gneißl (October 23, 1935 – October 24, 2014) was a German folk actor, former pornographic performer, and innkeeper from Munich. Discovered in the 1950s at a Trudering theater by Ludwig Schmid-Wildy, he performed at the Platzl theater. In the 1960s-70s, he starred in softcore and then hardcore adult films, including 'Josefine Mutzenbacher – Wie sie wirklich war' (1976), 'Bienenstich im Liebesnest' (1975), 'Die Porno Kneipe' (1978), 'Rosemaries Schleckerlands' (1978), and the 'Liebesgrüße aus der Lederhose' series (1977–1982). Known for his Bavarian accent, mustache, and robust presence, he appeared in over 20 porn films from 1975-1984. Later, he acted in TV series like 'Peter Steiners Theaterstadl' (1987–1992), 'Lindenstraße' (2000–2005), and 'Tierarzt Dr. Engel' (1998–2004), did voice work, radio, music, and ran a pub in Trudering, organizing events like Truderinger Kirta. He died of cancer one day after his 79th birthday.
