Sean Michaels (born Andre Allen, February 20, 1958, Brooklyn, New York) is an American pornographic actor, director, and producer, hailed as one of the greatest black male pornstars. Standing 6'3", he was raised in Brooklyn, attended Boys High School, and moved to Southern California in 1977 to study nursing, working in the field for six years. He entered the adult industry in 1988 via modeling, starring in 1,765 films and directing 229 from 1991, debuting with *My Baby's Got Back*. In 1993, he launched Sean Michaels Productions, rebranded as International in 1997. A pioneer in interracial and transgender porn, he ranked 14th on AVN's 2002 Top 50 Porn Stars list. Awards: AVN Hall of Fame (1995), XRCO Hall of Fame (2000), XRCO Woodsman (1994), multiple best scene awards. He hosted 2010 XRCO Awards.
