Desiree West, born Patricia Lee on August 25, 1954, possibly in Richmond, California or the Midwest, was a pioneering African-American adult film performer. She broke into the industry in 1973 at age 19 with her debut in Teenage Runaway, quickly becoming the first Black female star in porn. Renowned for her voluptuous, curvaceous figure with huge firm breasts, exotic beauty blending Black and Asian features, and volcanic sexual performances, she appeared in over 90 films.

Notable titles include SexWorld (1977), Baby Face (1977), Vista Valley PTA (1981), and Legends of Porn 1 (1987). Performing under aliases like Azure Té, Daphne Phalse, and Dee Marshall, she transcended racial barriers across genres, including lesbian scenes. Semi-retiring in 1980, she made sporadic returns until 1987.

Inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame in 1997, her legacy lives on in compilations like Double-D Soul Sister. Now in her early 70s, she reportedly lives as Sylvia in North Carolina, running a real estate business with her husband.
