Laurien Dominique, born Laurie Ann Detgen on September 22, 1956, in Springfield, Illinois, was an American adult film actress who graced the screen during the golden age of porn in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Her parents met when her father applied for a job at a comic book factory where her mother served as a receptionist. At just sixteen, she embarked on an adventurous phase, living naked for a year in a rainforest in Kauai, Hawaii. Prior to entering the adult industry, she worked at a theater. Making her hardcore debut in 1976, the lovely brunette became a favorite of acclaimed director Bob Chinn and producer Gail Palmer. She starred in over two dozen explicit X-rated features before retiring in 1983. Also known as Leilani and Sharlyn Alexander, Laurien tragically passed away on March 23, 1986, at the age of 29, leaving behind a memorable legacy in vintage erotica.
